The MING x Massena LAB 17.09 is a special collaboration between Ming Thein and William Massena, two respected figures in the watchmaking industry. This timepiece builds on the success of the acclaimed 17.09 model, and features a unique hexagonal honeycomb dial that is surrounded by a meticulously brushed ring. The design showcases floating hour markers, which are intricately etched into the underside of the crystal and filled with Super-LumiNova, making them visible in any lighting condition.
The watch is crafted with precision from polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, and has a 38mm case that is just 10mm thick, ensuring that it is versatile and wearable. The intricate honeycomb pattern extends to the caseback, encircling the Massena LAB logo and adding an extra touch of sophistication to the watch's overall aesthetic. The top sapphire crystal features double-sided anti-reflective coating, laser-etched indices, and Super-LumiNova X1 fill, ensuring durability and legibility.
The MING x Massena LAB 17.09 is powered by the Cal. 330.M1 movement, which is a modified version of the Sellita SW330-2. It was developed in collaboration with Manufacture Schwarz-Etienne and boasts an independent hour hand adjustment mechanism, making it an ideal watch for travelers. The watch has a 42-hour power reserve, 28,800 bph frequency, and 25 jewels, ensuring accurate performance and precise timekeeping. There are only 50 pieces of this watch available, and each one comes with a handmade strap by Jean Rousseau Paris, and a leather travel pouch crafted by Studio Koji Sato, making it an excellent addition to any watch collection.
